Links : An Offering and a Request
One of the first things I posted was a list of links. Unfortunately that post is looking very old and outdated several years on.
Fortunately Smitty wasn't the only one busy with a TG related project over the winter break. I realized that I wouldn't have time to constantly check which sites were up and down, so I wrote about a thousand lines of perl to help me maintain a database of links to smut and automatically crawl the pages to see which ones are still available.
This automation should allow me to easily keep this new link page much more current.
It is sorted into Good, Better, Best, and Unreviewed sites. These categories represent my personal preferences for certain types of kink more than they represent the literary quality of the captions. Please don't be offended if your blog doesn't match my tastes.
I would like to request that my wonderful readers submit links they would like to see added.
Also, I am collecting much more data than I am displaying (for instance I know the year/month of the most recent post on all Blogger hosted blogs). Is there other information you guys & gals would like displayed/provided?

A Masterwork by Smitty
The incredibly prolific Smitty has published his magnum opus. The Initiation is a sprawling 144 page caption set laid out in the style of a Choose Your Own Adventure novel.
It is notable in two ways.
First, the Choose Your Own Adventure style story with branching paths and 18 (or 19 depending on how you count) endings is a novel development, so far as I know, in the TG captioning world. You should check it out just to see the new and creative use of the medium.
Second, it is just an incredible amount of high quality captions rolled into one story. I am sure my readers know that my tastes run to shorter captions, but this is something special. No mater what your particular TG kink there is an ending that will appeal to you.
If it seems like too big a commitment to read every path in the story then don't worry. You can treat each path as a smaller caption set and gradually work your way through. It took me four sittings to read through every one. (I really don't want to recommend things to you guys and gals unless I have read it all.)
So go check it out. I'm sure it won't remain Smitty's magnum opus for long; he always finds a way to outdo himself.

A Renaissance in TG Writing
A while back I noted that there was less long form written TG fiction and more and more short TG captions being produced. Obviously TG authors never stopped writing. I simply noticed a shift in what was popular.
Recently the captions have been getting longer and some great captioners have been entering/returning to long form fiction.

- Alyssa over at Making Maidens has written In Flight Entertainment, the kinky tale of a cocky airline pilot who is transformed into a shemale bimbo and forced to serve as an airline stewardess.
- Clarity from Queer Fantasies has written Look at Me, the tale of a man caught watching camwhores who is then forced to become one himself.
- Finally Trisha of Trisha's TG Caps fame has authored The Alpha Club about a secret society of hyper-dominant men who have the ability to transform others into obedient sluts.
