Please follow me on tumblr. While you are at it, lots of other TG authors have tumblr accounts as well including Smitty, Miss Simone, Evie, Joanna, and Ellie. You should follow them as well and let me know about other TG caption tumblrs in the comments.
For a long time there have been a small number of blogs that just harvest TG captions from around the web and repost them without attribution. Personally I don't mind if my work is re-distributed. In fact I was honored to find some of my own work in a big .zip file of TG captions someone had created and uploaded. However, I do think that it is inconsiderate of those who do want to promote their own caption blogs and see the comments that their work inspires.
So while I like the idea of learning what captions others enjoy and sharing those I enjoy just copying the work of others is not the right way to go about things.
Long time readers will remember that I once had a list of shared Google Reader items that let others read captions that I liked. Unfortunately that fell afoul of Google's community standards and I had to remove it.
My newest attempt to show you all what I am reading is to post all the items that I "starred" in Google Reader to my tumblr. It takes a little more time, but I found a browser plugin that makes the work go faster.
I am trying to respect the rights of captioners by only posting preview sized images that users will click and be redirected to the original author's blog. If you are a captioner and this isn't satisfactory to you I will be happy to remove your captions from my tumblr.
